Ahanna
Kyriotate Vassal of Destiny
Ahanna is Yves's most senior Servitor in Dallas/Fort Worth. She (technically it, but Ahanna's personality seems more feminine than most Kyriotates) has been in the Metroplex for longer than than anyone save Terriel. Originally a junior partner to another angel of Destiny who has since moved on, it is now Ahanna's job to provide Destiny's input to the militant angels of Stone and the Sword, who sometimes overlook the human factor while planning anti-diabolical strategies.
Ahanna ranges widely throughout the Metroplex, and has a large number of mortals whom she can use as hosts. Some are Soldiers or other mortals aware of the War, but many are loners, the homeless, runaways, and others who can "take off" for days at a time without anyone asking questions. Over time, Ahanna steadily improves the lives of each of these unfortunes, with her goal being to eventually situate them so that they are too established in a "real life" for her to be able to "borrow" them any more. She also tries to push them towards their destinies, of course, but with so many hosts to manage, she believes that even these incremental improvements of their lot in life, spread out over hundreds of individuals over the course of years, has more effect than concentrating her energy on a single individual. She makes occasional exceptions for someone whose Destiny is particularly bright (or easily attainable), but normally sticks to her tried-and-true method.
It is a somewhat unusual strategy for an angel of Destiny, but so far Yves has not expressed disapproval, and the fact that she was made a Vassal 20 years ago indicates the opposite.
Ahanna is respected by other angels in the Metroplex, though her advice is not always heeded. While her Kyriotate of Destiny attunement is enormously useful, and thus her services are frequently requested, she is adamant about serving the needs of her hosts first. Anyone who wants a quick "interrogation" of a host (i.e., wants Ahanna to possess someone and dig through their memories) will have to present her with a very good reason why this serves the Word of Destiny, or else promise some extraordinary assistance in return...
