Amy Chan, Soldier of Hell

Amy is a third generation Asian-American. She prefers the generic term since her mother is of Korean descent and her father of Chinese descent. Amy though, considers herself an American.

Her grandparents worked at whatever they could saving all they could, her father started his own business, a butcher shop. Amy spent her childhood, waiting the counter, hauling meat and cutting it up - at no pay. Any always felt inadequate compared to her parents. They would constantly tell her how easy she had it, and she felt she could never live up to their expectations, so she started cheating her way through. That was only fair after all, her parents were cheating her of her childhood.

She got interested in television, hoping to be a star, but just one of many hopefuls. Turns out she had more talent behind the camera than in front. She brought herself to Nadine's attention by her needs to advance and by some of the underhanded tactics she used to bring down her competition. There was something almost demonic about the way Amy backstabbed her coworkers.

Nadine took her under her wing opened her some doors, showed her how things were done, how to really get ahead, and before long Amy was signing up a Soldier of Hell. Nadine has routinely done her servant many small favors and has several geases she could call in if she really needed to so. It hasn't been necessary. Nadine has convinced Amy that her career depends on Nadine now, and that Amy will rise as far as she does on her coattails.

After being blown away once, Nadine has insisted that her servant obtain a concealed weapon, practice with it, and carry it at all times.

Nadine has informed Amy about the war in general, but hasn't explained infernal politics to Amy. Amy's instructions are not to trust any Hellsworn or any infernal except for her.
