Slim and petite, she is very attractive with dark brown waves falling down her back, bright dark blue eyes watching everything with curiosity… but she becomes beautiful when she smiles.
Background:
Parents:
Her mother has had sole responsibility in bringing her up. She never mentions the father, getting cross whenever Amie has brought up the topic. Her mother is Sophia Vittoria Esposti, who runs a ranch breeding horses in Oklahoma. All Amie has found out from her own birth certificate is that she was born in Dallas, father unknown and her mother’s profession is listed as dancer. There has never been any mention of other relatives, as if her mother’s life only started when she arrived here with Amie a small baby. She always suspected her parents had never married, even though her mother wore a ring.
Childhood:
Her early childhood was poor but loving. However as she grew older, her mother became stricter. Always religious she seemed to get fixated about the sort of trouble Amie could get into. Boys were forbidden along with a lot of things including TV, although she managed a little of both away from home. Her one love that her mother approved of is singing. She started at an early age in the church choir, their priest encouraging mixed choirs. With living in an isolated location, she was dependent on her mother for lifts everywhere all apart from visits to her friend Stephanie which she could do on horseback.
Career Path:
Her mother would not even discuss alternatives to her taking over the ranch eventually, encouraging her to learn book-keeping, blood stock records and all the practical things she would need to do. But Amie wants to sing.. shows, pop star, opera.. anything and she gets more and more scared of missing out on life buried on the ranch for eternity. The crunch comes when three events occur within a week of each other. Amie had joined a group at school and without explaining exactly what she was doing, had gained her mother’s permission to stay late two nights a week. She was the lead singer and on the verge of a relationship with the bass guitarist. They had their first performance scheduled at a youth club dance in town that weekend. Stephanie, who was leaving to go to college in a month or so, arranged that Amie could stay over with her, both of them intending to go to town that evening. Amie’s mother found out, by accident talking to one of the organisers of the dance, a fellow church goer, who had seen Amie’s name on a list. Furious, her mother grounded her. The dance went ahead with the drummer’s sister standing in. Stephanie went to college without Amie seeing her again. Life suddenly held little for the teenager.
She bided her time for a while, collected what money she could, made her plans and as soon as she was ready, ran away to Dallas with this idea of finding her father, finding out more of her beginnings, whether she had other family.
