Jeth
Djinn of Factions
Role: Fred Hurst, Civil rights activist
Jeth has a Role as "Fred Hurst," a self-proclaimed civil rights activist and spokesman for the African-American community in Dallas-Fort Worth. Hurst is a well-known figure in Dallas because of his frequent appearances on the 6 o'clock news leading protests against the police, the school district, a supermarket chain, the Parks Department, the Catholic Church, or anyone else he can generate a bias complaint about. He's also well known in the legal community because he's one of the most litigious people in Dallas. At any given time he's a party in about two dozen different legal actions. He keeps Gamesters well-supplied with information and things to do, though many of Asmodeus's Servitors find the Djinn obnoxious and tiresome.
While he's generated enough of a reputatation to get calls from the media on race-related issues, outside his immediate circle of dupes and sycophants, Fred is despised. The police, the school board, the Chamber of Commerce, and most civil rights organizations consider him to be a detriment and a troublemaker that they just can't get rid of. He's also a popular scapegoat for conservatives and newspaper columnists who want to point at "What's wrong with the civil rights movement."
