Merroe is a relatively new arrival in Dallas. She has several years of experience in New York City, and in Quebec before that, and is one of Laurence's favored Servitors. In emergencies, she is Iealo's second-in-command, but most of the time, she is the Malakite who gets to prowl the metroplex hunting for demons. On those occasions when the forces of Heaven decide that violent angelic action is called for, Merroe has the honor of being their go-to girl.

Her role as Sylvie Bessmer is little more than a facade, but it does occasionally allow her to mask disturbances, if she can make her activities part of an investigation. She speaks English with a French Canadian accent, and can be quite earthy.
